Deco Tie Patch seals poured concrete wall ties below and above grade from the potential risk of water or moisture intrusion.

Foundation wall ties that are removed or "snapped" off to meet the ICC requirements stating: "any holes or recesses resulting from the removal of form ties shall be sealed with a bituminous material or other approved materials.
Honeycombing or concrete cavities/spaces when forms are taken off wall.
Concrete block, driveways or other applications where holes or cracks large enough to spackle our Tie Patch.

Use spackle knive to apply a small amount of patch into each cavity or hole

Recommend to apply patch on wall first then apply Deco 20, Seal or Dampproof. You can apply Deco foundation materials over wet/damp patch.

I decided to give this product a try because hydraulic cement is expensive and it has cracked for me on some jobs. It was easy to apply and using the rubber gloves was easier than a puddy knife. Liked that the patch matched their waterproofing color wise.

I've been using this product since the 90's. As a Deco Applicator for home builders in PA, DE & MD the Deco materials are some of the nicest products I've worked with and I've tried most foundation wall products. I use the Tie Patch with a puddy knife and coat the broken wall tie voids and/or surface cracks. You don't have to completely fill a deep hole on a foundation wall. The viscosity of this product will fill cracks, honeycomb areas and crevices/holes. If you feel the need to fill holes deeper than 1/2" you may need to apply a second coat. If you want a product to fill in deep holes use hydraulic cement. Tie Patch is much easier than the caulk tubes because you can press the Tie Patch strongly w/ the puddy knife vs. a lose glob of caulk sitting on the surface.

It is too thin, it sags out of the holes. I even tried cooling it first to make it thicker, but it did not help Gordon - Our Tie Patch is designed to patch/cover over broken wall ties on foundation walls. If you have deep holes you will probably need to apply our Patch twice. If you want a quick set product for deep holes we recommend Hydraulic Cement.
